On September 24, 2018, the Board of Commissioners is voting on two major stormwater management projects. The first vote is to award the Maplewood Avenue Storm Sewer Extension Project to Lechmanik in the Amount of $84,260.31. The second vote is to award the North Wayne Field Storm Water Management Basin Repair and Cleaning Contract to N. Abbonizio Contractors, Incorporated, in the Amount of $669,000. The North Wayne Field Basin contract will not increase the size of the basin. It will, however, decrease the likelihood of future ruptures (as occurred in last month’s record-setting storm) and it will increase the holding capacity of the basin by cleaning it. Still outstanding is the North Wayne Bypass Project, which Meliora continues to design. I look forward to providing an update from the company in my next newsletter.
